About CEED Exam Papers
Aspiring candidates who are looking to get admission for the M.Des programme in the top colleges in India need to take the CEED exam. The CEED or the Common Entrance Examination for Design takes place annually every year in January in the campuses of IIT. The CEED is a tough exam to crack and students appearing for the exam in 2024 may refer to the CEED previous year question paper to know what kind of questions they can expect. Also, practicing question papers of CEED 2023 will help them to increase their knowledge and score higher marks in the final exam. CEED question papers from SILICA are the ones that were used for previous years, and for candidates that are planning to appear for the CEED 2024-2025 examinations, it would be beneficial to check out the CEED question paper 2023 and CEED 2022 question paper with answers. A lot of online websites have a large number of archived CEED question papers with answers free to download so that the students can get enough practice and also take a look at what the questions used to be like in CEED previous years question Papers. SILICA’s CEED question papers are solved by IIT

The CEED question paper is divided into Part A and Part B. Part A goes on for one hour and Part B goes on for two hours.

Part A – Part A is made of mostly objective-based questions, MCQs, as well as numerical answer questions. The exam is computer-based, so you will know immediately whether you are eligible to sit for Part B. Part A questions will be set to evaluate the candidates’ visual and spatial skills, their design aptitude, logical and analytical reasoning, social and environmental awareness, objective design sensitivity and their language skill as well. The entire exam will be in the English medium.

Part B – This part deals more with the candidates writing and drawing skills. The questions will be shown on the computer screen, but unlike Part A, they will be answered on the written paper sheet, and not on the computer. At the end of the examination, the sheets will be collected by an invigilator at the venue.

The syllabus for Part A of the CEED exam is as follows,

  • Visualization and spatial ability
  • Environmental and social awareness
  • Analytical and logical reasoning
  • Language and creativity
  • Design thinking and problem-solving
  • Observation and design sensitivity

The syllabus for Part B of the CEED exam is as follows,

  • Communication skills
  • Language skills
  • Drawing skills
  • Creativity skills
  • Analytical thinking
  • Problem-solving skills

Most of the CEED study material books cover all these topics.

While study material is important, going through and practicing CEED question papers also benefits the students in a big way, sometimes more than the study material.

We have gathered some of the recent years CEED question papers/model papers, and see above to get CEED 2023 question paper PDF as well as CEED 2022 question paper PDF. All you need to do is click the given links to download the CEED question papers/sample papers.
